Early this year, our family suffered a great loss to CF. Jason Carrera was the light of our lives, he lived his life to the fullest despite every obstacle his body gave him. He constantly spread hope with his never-ending courage. God used him in great ways, he touched so many hearts, brought so much laughter and never failed to make you smile. Jason won the battle, he is so loved and missed dearly. His legacy will live on forever.

Edwin Carrera, Jason's little brother, is currently fighting this heartbreaking disease. Following his brother's steps, he never lets illness define him and lives every day full of grace and gratitude. Edwin truly embodies the love of Christ, his sweet soul will win your heart with a simple hug.

This month, as we spread awareness for all CF patients, we are committed to walk every mile, every kilometer in honor of Jason and in celebration of Edwin.

If you are moved to donate directly to the Carrera Family, it would be a great blessing as they finish covering expenses for Jason's funeral, proceeds will also go into an HSA to cover anything Edwin may need.

We invite you to take part in Great Strides by joining our team. While the CF Foundation has made incredible progress, not everyone with CF can benefit from existing therapies and we still need a cure. This will require time, funding, and persistence – but with you on our team – we are ready to go the distance.

Thank you for all the support and prayers.
