Hello Family & Friends!
This year will be my 16th year walking for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.! Time sure flies by!
What have i been up to? Well I am now 16 years old, a sophomore in high school, I play JV softball and i am currently learning how to drive! My mom is not too thrilled about that part. She does want me to get a job though! :(
How's my health? Well i am doing okay but some changes were made. I have a stronger dose of pills that i take with my meals but i went from 7 pills to 4 pills. I also use a Dexcom and Omnipod for my diabetes. This is much better than having to carry needles and insulin. I recently got an upgrade on my therapy vest..I now use a portable vest called an Afflovest. This vest allows me to walk around, take it outside and even travel with it instead of sitting down attached to a machine for 30 minutes. So Yah for me!! :)
So most of you know that there is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
