My Breathe Team Story
Kelsey Frank
I am excited to announce that I will be running the Chicago Marathon in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF), an organization dedicated to advancing research, care, and advocacy for individuals living with cystic fibrosis (CF). CF is a genetic disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs and digestive system, leading to life-threatening respiratory infections and difficulties in absorbing nutrients. Despite significant advancements in treatment, there is no cure for CF, making the ongoing work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation crucial to improving the quality of life and long-term outcomes for those affected by this condition.
As a Respiratory Therapist with extensive experience caring for patients with CF, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges they face in managing their respiratory health. Working in clinical settings, I’ve had the privilege of helping these individuals through daily treatments, airway clearance therapies, and supporting their families. This experience has inspired me to contribute to the fight against CF, and running the Chicago Marathon is a way for me to combine my passion for patient care with a cause that holds deep personal meaning. Every step I take will be dedicated to advancing the mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and supporting the CF community in their journey for a cure.
