Why Team Breathe: 

The reason I run for CF is because my best friend Emily May has CF.  We have been best friends for over 12 years.  From being bridesmaids in each other’s weddings to holding each other’s babies, we stick together.  

In addition to being beautiful inside and out she is one of the strongest people I know.  She handles every set back with grace.  She loves her husband and son and always puts them first even if she feeling the effects of her CF.  All of her friends and family admire her positive attitude and happy personality. The people in her life all love her!  She inspires me to be a better person.  

When my daughter (also her GodDaughter) faced medical issues, Emily stayed right by our side throughout it all.  She made two trips across the country to help us and made numerous trips to the hospital.  Emily’s experiences with hospitals and doctors from her CF proved to be invaluable resource to help navigate my daughter’s care.  

She shares a special bond with my family. I would love to run in honor of her and help to raise money and awareness for CF.
