I am running the Chicago Marathon in support of our dear family friend Hudson Lewis who battles cystic fibrosis.
For those who don't know, Cystic Fibrosis is genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Hudson's strength, positivity, and energy are second to none. If you know him, you would never guess all that he has to go through. All the trials, medications, and doctor's visits for a 12 year old is not how a kid should have to spend his time.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I'm running to help change that reality for people like Hudson. My goal is to raise $1500, with all proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Any donation is greatly appreciated.
Let the training begin!
