This October, I’ll be running my third marathon — and my first time taking on the legendary Chicago course — in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). It’s my second year fundraising with CFF, after training for and running the NYC Marathon with them last fall. I’m excited to experience a new city, a new course, and the energy of Chicago’s incredible crowds — all while running for a cause that means a lot to me. That experience last year changed me. I saw how hard the CF community fights every day, and I knew I had to keep showing up.
I run because it makes me feel strong. I run because I believe in setting big goals — and showing my kids what it looks like to chase them with everything you've got. And I run for CFF, because no one should have to fight as hard as people with cystic fibrosis do just to breathe.
The work CFF does — funding research, supporting families, pushing toward a cure — is powerful and personal. Running is the hard part, but it’s also the easy part. The real impact comes from people like you.
If you can, please consider donating. Every single dollar makes a difference. It keeps me going through the training miles — and it brings us closer to a future without cystic fibrosis. Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me!
