My Breathe Team Story

Frank Kinkead
Hey everyone, thank you for visiting my page and for any consideration to supporting this cause. Cystic Fibrosis is a disease I have known about my whole life. In 1977, my brother Tony passed due to his battle with CF. He was 1 week shy of his 7th birthday, and just 5 months after I was born. I don't have my own memories of him, but I feel like I have known him my entire life through the stories from my mom and my older brothers.
I have supported the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation much of my adult life, and I am extremely proud to support this cause. I'm extremely humbled to be able to run this race carrying my brothers name and memory with me as well.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m running to help change that reality.
What is cystic fibrosis?
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
