My sweet daughter, Luna, was born with Cystic Fibrosis. At 10-days old, we received the worst news possible. Luna has CF. We had no idea what CF was or that we were even carriers of this genetic disease. I started grieving the life I thought my newborn daughter was going to have.
Fast forward to seven years later and Luna is doing amazing. She is loving the 1st grade, has tons of friends, and is the biggest Swiftie! Unfortunately, this wouldn't be possible without daily medications, breathing treatments, several doctor appointments, and aggressive physical symptoms of CF.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
