We’ve been walking in Great Strides since 2011 (minus that dreaded 2020). Today, Berkeley is 17 and truly thriving - something we once only dreamed about.

At 12, she started Trikafta, the “miracle” we had prayed for since she was five. In 2025, she moved to Alyftrek - a once-daily combination therapy that gives her more time to just be a teenager. These breakthroughs have changed her life.

But they didn’t happen by accident. They happened because of research, funding, and families who refused to give up.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation began with one mother who wanted more for her child. Today, we carry that same hope. While these medications have been life-changing for Berkeley, they don’t work for everyone. Our fight isn’t over.
