Hi Everyone,

I am so excited to fundraise for the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Walk in Denver again this year. I was, and still am, incredibly overwhelmed with gratitude from the support I received last year. We had a fantastic fundraising season and an even more incredible walk day. It was such a special experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend the walk this year, but I am still excited to fundraise and sell our team “Thanks A Walk” t-shirts again. The support I have received from family and friends throughout my life has meant more to me than I could ever properly put into words. I truly feel so lucky to have such an amazing community around me.

For those of you who may not know, I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis within the first few weeks of my life. At that time, my future was completely unknown. I am proud to be here 25 years later, continuing to fight CF and make the most of my life. Living with CF isn’t always easy, but I have always been determined to never let it define or limit my life, and I plan to keep living that way until a cure for CF is found.

Thanks to incredible advances in medicine and treatment, I have been able to live such a full and meaningful life. I’ve had the opportunity to run a half marathon, hike a couple of Colorado’s 14ers, snowboard, travel, go to college, work, and create amazing memories with friends and family. These experiences are things that once may not have been possible for someone living with CF, and I never take that for granted.

In my lifetime alone, the life expectancy for someone living with CF has doubled, and that progress continues to grow. This incredible advancement is directly tied to the generosity of people who donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to keep pushing forward until CF stands for Cure Found. I truly believe that day will come, and I remain incredibly hopeful that it will happen in my lifetime. Until then, I will continue fighting every single day.

Every donation brings us one step closer to a future without Cystic Fibrosis for me and approximately 100,000 people around the world living with CF.
