My Breathe Team Story
Emily Lynch
Fundraising for Irish Life Dublin Marathon
Emily Lynch
I am running the 2025 Irish Life Dublin Marathon in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a cause that is very close to my family's hearts. I will be running in memory of my two aunts, Theresa and Joanna Lynch, who sadly passed at a young age from the illness. Cystric Fibrosis has had a devastating impact on my family and, due to the genetic nature of CF, continues to affect my family to this day.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that attacks the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure. While huge amounts of progress has been made in terms of managing CF, there is still currently no cure.
Any contributions towards my fundraising goal will be hugely appreciated, which will be put towards the incredible amount of work the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation do to fund research and support efforts aimed at finding a cure for CF.
