Great Strides is one of my favorite times of year! It provides me with hope and happiness as we all get together to support a common mission and know that there are people out there that understand this side of our lives.

Aleks has been a fighter from day 1. She had bowel resection surgery less than 1 day old, 2 month hospital stay, 8 surgeries, 4 hospital stays (not including surgeries), attends physical therapy 2x per week, sees her pulmonologist every 3 months, has every specialist category caring for her, takes medicines daily, and is tube fed daily.

She has a lot going on outside of just being a kid, so we try so hard to push for the best experiences for her. She has been horseback riding for the past 5 years, loves music, singing, tennis, TV, her sister, her dogs, her mom :) :) :)

She has an awesome personality filled with silliness and cleverness. She can be the sweetest kid on the planet. She and so many other kids with Cystic Fibrosis deserve better and better care so they can manage long healthy lives in the best way possible.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation provides this to people living with CF. It is one of the best causes to donate to as the money goes directly to life saving treatments. Our family has been directly impacted by the work the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has done including Aleks' therapies, enzymes, and most recently; trikafta, which has transformed her life!!

Great Strides is also an incredible event to attend. We always have lots of people that show up and get along. There are some games for kids. The walk is beautiful and a good way to get some exercise and fresh air. Seeing loved ones there means the world to me! Please consider joining our team; Aleks' Army!
