Kamila Rose is this year's Brand Ambassador for the Xtreme Hike Gateway Chapter!
We are hiking to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and funds for ongoing research. There is currently no cure, and too many people with CF die young. I pray this reality changes in Kamila's lifetime.
Will you help end Cystic Fibrosis?
Join our team and hike 15 or 30 miles on September 27, 2025.
If you cannot make it, please consider donating to my fundraising goal; you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward - a cure for everyone with CF.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Kamila was diagnosed at 1.5 weeks old after results came back from the hospital's heel prick / newborn screening. She lost weight that first week because her body was not digesting her food properly. Since then, she has been taking pancreatic enzymes to help her body absorb her food, along with Multivitamins and an acid reflux med, and she is now thriving.
Kamila does chest physical therapy for 30 minutes twice a day. This is our 'normal' routine, and she is very good at putting her vest on herself and sitting through it, usually without tears. She is so tough and brave, I am so proud to be her momma.
While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance of living a long, healthy life.
