This year is bittersweet for me - I am lacing my hiking boots up one last time for my final 30.1 mile in one day Cystic Fibrosis Xtreme hike. Over the past eight years, these miles have been more than steps on a trail - they have been a journey of hope, determination, and community. With my fellow hikers, we have pushed through extreme heat to unrelenting rain, been blessed with breathtaking views, and kept moving forward for one reason: to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young.

I believe in the power of what we have accomplished - and the amazing hikers and supporters who will carry the mission forward. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to new treatments, a better quality of life, and the ultimate goal: a cure.

Thank you for walking this path with me over the years! I am excited to have Steve and Sophia hiking with me for Team Isabelle again. Together we hike for Isabelle and our son-in-law, David.
