As we prepare for Team Isabelle's 13th Xtreme Hike in 2025, we find ourselves pausing to reflect on the extraordinary path we've walked together. We are so profoundly grateful for each and every one of you that has supported us for the last 27 years. We have witnessed progress that seems only possible in a sci-fi novel. The progress has been real, though, and is nothing short of a miracle! Each new drug has been a step towards a brighter future for Isabelle and all those battling CF.
Did you know that just since 2020, your donations have helped fund over $1 BILLION dollars in research and care awards?!? Your donations have helped fund: $238 million for genetic therapy, $98 million for the next generation of CFTR modulators (Isabelle is currently on a third generation CFTR modulator), $308 million for research into CF complications and $195 million for care and accredited CFF care center initiatives.
We want you to know that you have served as a source of light, hope and inspiration for our family. You have been our reminder that we are not alone in this fight, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Together, we've raised an astounding $965,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Can you believe it?! We're on the cusp of reaching one million dollars – a milestone that once seemed like a ridiculously ambitious dream. This achievement is a testament to your boundless generosity, love and support.
After much soul-searching and reflection, we've made the bittersweet decision to make 2025 Team Isabelle's final Xtreme Hike. But, what a grand finale we have planned! We're aiming for the stars with our most ambitious goal yet – $200,000. We want to make this final hike a celebration of all we've accomplished together-–a testament to the power of community, and a shining example of what love and determination can achieve. We kindly ask that, if you’re able, please make your donation by August 1.
From the depths of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for your unwavering support, and for being the embodiment of hope and love. You've changed our lives and countless others in ways you may never fully realize.
With love and grateful hearts,
Dana and Mark
