Fundraising for Grand Canyon Fall Xtreme Hike

Hey all,
I am participating in my ? 10th or 11th or 12th Cystic Fibrosis Hike for a Cure event at the end of September. Whether it is North Carolina (where it all started), Massachusetts, Colorado or (this year Arizona) the mission is the same. Finding a cure for this disease. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m once again hiking to help change that reality. On the last Saturday of September I am hiking 20+ miles from the South rim of the Grand Canyon, down to the the canyon floor where the Colorado River runs and then back up! Joining me are some of my best friends from College and life! I am so looking forward to getting the know the amazing Arizona CF team.
For those that don't know CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
