My two year old grandson Donovan was born with gastroschisis and after 11 weeks in the NICU , 7 surgeries and 2 blood transfusions was released home. A few months later he was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.  CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. Donovan has handled the treatments very well and already at age two, shown he is a fighter. He and others with CF face future health challenges.  We need a cure so that Donovan and everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

If Donovan can beat a major life threatening birth defect and then take on Cystic Fibrosis, I certainly can hike 23+ miles of the Grand Canyon in his honor and in support of Cystic Fibrosis research.

By donating to this cause, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone.

Thank you in advance for considering in making a donation in honor of my grandson Donovan.

Sincerely,
Lawrence
