Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

Owen’s journey is no different. Sort of. Because of all the support, research, and developments in medical advancements, thankfully Owen’s “story” has been a relatively smooth one. We have been very thankful and appreciative to everyone who has been on this journey with us. And if you’re new to the team, welcome! We’re so glad you’re here.

This summer Owen will celebrate his 19th birthday. He remains very active in sports wrapping up his senior year in soccer and in a few weeks, his LAX season will come to a close. He is loving his his experience at the CTC and he begins an internship this week at MH Eby Inc. and he is really excited to have that opportunity.

As we have for the past 16 years, our family is committed to walking at Great Strides Lancaster to raise funds and awareness for CF. Unfortunately we are not able to participate in "The Walk" this year, but you are certainly welcome to do so yourself! It's a wonderful event.

If you are interested in learning more and seeing such an inspiring story, here is a link to “Second Wind.” It is Gunner Esiason’s story, and I highly recommend it. Keep the box of tissues nearby.
