Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. It causes the body to produce thick and sticky mucus that can clog the lungs and lead to life-threatening infections. This mucus also obstructs the pancreas, preventing digestive enzymes from reaching the intestines to help break down and absorb food.

With proper treatment and care, people with CF can live longer, healthier lives.
