I would like to invite you to join us on March 15th at the Miami Zoo for the Great Strides Walk, walking with Team FIVRA in memory of my son, Michael Santa Cruz Yepes.
Mikey lived life the way it's meant to be lived, joyfully, fiercely, and with his whole heart. He was that rare kind of soul who could walk into a room and make everyone laugh, who always showed up for his friends, and who loved big every single day. Even through challenges, his smile never wavered. He taught us all what it means to live fully and love deeply.
Though we miss him more than words can ever say, his light continues to shine through the people he loved and the stories we share.
This walk is a way to carry his spirit forward, to honor the laughter, the friendships, and the beautiful energy he brought into the world.
By walking with Team FIVRA, you're not just remembering Mikey, you're celebrating him. You're helping bring hope to families living with cystic fibrosis.
I know Mikey would be the first one cheering us on, probably cracking jokes, making us smile, and reminding us to enjoy the day. Let's walk for him, with full hearts and happy spirits, just the way he lived his life.
