I have had almost 36 years with the best brother in the world. A brother who despite how sick he has been throughout those 36 years has always shown up for me. Has always been my rock in times of need, or come to my rescue whenever I have needed him. A man who, on the outside, you might not be able to tell he's "sick" but on the inside his body is constantly working overtime to keep him upright and moving forward. It would be easy for him to give up. Easy to just throw in the towel and say "this isn't what I want my life to be." But no matter what life throws at him, and no matter how many times he gets knocked down, he keeps getting back up. He keeps fighting and he keeps surviving.
I need a world where CF doesn't exist anymore. I need a world where I never have to worry about losing my best friend, my brother, my protector. I need a world where we give him, and everyone else fighting this battle, their lives back. We need a cure, and we need to fight like he fights everyday to find one. So thank you for all of you who always support me in this fight and always show up for me. It means so much more than you will ever knwo to me, my son, and our family. We love you and appreciate you all!!!
