Each year, I proudly participate in the Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis as part of Team Britton Bucks, walking in honor of my friend Aaron Britton.

Aaron was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis in 2016. Over the years, he has faced countless treatments, hospital stays, and ultimately a lung transplant. Through it all, he has remained incredibly strong, positive, and deeply committed to the community around him. Aaron is not only a former Camp Director and current HR Director within our organization, but also someone who has become a close friend and a person I truly look up to. His resilience, perspective, and dedication to others continue to inspire so many of us.

Supporting the fight against cystic fibrosis has become something very meaningful to me both personally and professionally. Through our camp community and partnerships, we have worked to raise awareness and funds each summer in Aaron’s honor.

In 2022, I was deeply honored to be recognized as a New Haven’s Finest recipient by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for fundraising efforts connected to Camp Gordyland and the Wilton Family YMCA. That recognition meant a lot, but the real motivation behind this work continues to be the people impacted by CF — especially Aaron.

Every dollar raised helps support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s mission to find a cure and improve the lives of those living with CF. Thank you for supporting this cause and for being part of the journey.

Until CF stands for Cure Found.
