My Great Strides Story
Fundraising for New Canaan Great Strides 2026

“They say it takes a village… Lenna has a tribe.”
Lenna was born with cystic fibrosis (CF) — a genetic disease she has faced every day of her life with strength, resilience, and a whole lot of heart. She is surrounded by love, support, and an incredible community we proudly call Lenna’s Tribe.
Cystic fibrosis is a life-shortening disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. It makes breathing harder, causes frequent and serious lung infections, and requires daily treatments and constant care. There is currently no cure for CF, and too many people with CF still lose their lives far too young.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis experiences this disease differently. Lenna’s journey is uniquely her own, but she is part of a larger CF community still waiting for what matters most — a cure.
That’s why Lenna’s Tribe is walking.
On May 3, 2026, we will be walking at New Canaan High School, starting at 9:00 AM, to raise awareness, fund critical research, and help change the future for Lenna and everyone living with cystic fibrosis. If you’re unable to walk with us that day, you can still be part of Lenna’s Tribe by donating and supporting our mission from wherever you are.
So much progress has been made, but there is still a long road ahead. We walk because CF families don’t get days off. We walk because kids like Lenna deserve the chance to grow up, chase their dreams, and live long, healthy lives.
Will you help Lenna’s Tribe walk toward a cure?
By donating to our fundraising goal, you are directly supporting the research and science needed to move us closer to a world where cystic fibrosis no longer exists.
Thank you for standing with Lenna, Lenna’s Tribe, and every person living with CF. 💜
