My CF Cycle for Life Story

My dad is one of the strongest people I know.
Every day, he carries a battle most people can't see, cystic fibrosis, but he never lets it define who he is or how he shows up for the people he loves. And honestly, if you know my dad (which you probably do because somehow he knows someone everywhere we go), you wouldn't even know he was living with this disease.
He's shown me what real strength looks like: pushing forward on the hard days and never giving up, no matter how tough things get. I don't say it enough, but I am so proud to be his daughter and I am so proud of the way he continues to fight without ever losing who he is.
I'm definitely not a runner, but like my dad, I'm going to push through this challenge. On October 3rd, my family and I will be running a 5K for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to support those living with CF.
If you're able to support, please consider donating! Every contribution, no matter the size, helps fund critical research, care, and resources for individuals and families affected by cystic fibrosis. Your support truly makes a difference in the fight for a cure!🩵
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m running to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
