I’m Alex and I’m an adult with cystic fibrosis. It’s extremely challenging and alters every part of my body—and that’s even with the knowledge that many people with CF have worse symptoms than I do. Years ago, it was preposterous to think of an adult with cystic fibrosis, but thanks to lots of research and advocacy, it’s now considered normal for people with CF to live to adulthood. However, the life expectancy is still substantially shorter than the average person, and I’m fundraising to help change that.

CF is a genetic life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, liver, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure. Although CF is often called a lung disease, it affects the whole body in a multitude of ways. Personally, my pancreas can sometimes give me more trouble than my lungs!

By donating to my campaign, you’re putting funds into scientific research to cure CF for good and make sure that nobody suffers from this disease any further. Are you ready to help?
