On September 21, 2010 we received the news Madison was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. That day is one I will never forget. So many feelings and emotions went through my head that day, especially when they told me the life expectancy was mid 30s. In the past 15 years so many advancements have been made in treating CF and the life expectancy keeps climbing. This is all thanks to the hard work of the CF Foundation with help from people like you who donate to help with research.

My beautiful CF warrior is now about to turn 16 this year and start driving, which is so hard to believe. Everyday this girl amazes me with her big heart and personality. She is full of love, life, and laughter. Being her mother has been the greatest blessing I ever received.

Fundraising is so important to us because we long for the day when we receive word a cure has been found. A day when there is no more daily treatments and medications. A day where there are no more tears from stomach aches and worry. A day when my baby can just breathe.

You can help us reach that day by joining our team and fundraising with us, donating, and/or sharing our link with family and friends and help us spread awareness. From Madison, myself, and all her family and friends we thank you for the years of support you have given us. We are truly blessed.

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I'm walking to help change that reality.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward - a cure for everyone with CF.
