I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the 2026 Great Strides Ambassador. This year holds special meaning for me. Not only do I have the privilege of representing an incredible cause, but I am also celebrating a personal milestone as I turn 40. Reaching this age is a testament to the progress we've made together, and it inspires me to advocate even more passionately for those living with cystic fibrosis.

Turning 40 is not just a birthday, it's a celebration of all the progress and possibilities we've unlocked. I am grateful for the advancements that have made milestones like this one achievable. My goal as ambassador is to inspire others to keep striving, keep walking, and keep believing in a brighter tomorrow.

I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just three months old. My childhood was filled with doctor visits, digestive issues, and antibiotics for frequent infections, but CF never stopped me. I danced, cheered, and graduated high school.

In adulthood, my lung function began to fade while I was in college, eventually leading me back home. I finished my degree while coaching, cheerleading, and working, even as my body continued to struggle. Then came the first CF modulators, a turning point that began my healing, not only of my lungs, but of my spirit.

Five years ago, my life was filled with uncertainty. I didn't know what the future held, how much time I had, or what God's plan was for me. Today, I reflect on the blessings I once only dared to hope for, three beautiful children, an incredible husband, and a healthy body. I am forever grateful for Trikafta.

My journey has been shaped by resilience, hope, and the unwavering support of my loved ones and the CF community. As I step into this role, I am committed to sharing my story, raising awareness, and helping drive our mission forward: to improve the lives of everyone affected by cystic fibrosis. I know firsthand the challenges that come with CF, but I also know the power of community, research, and innovation. Every step we take brings us closer to a future free from the limitations of this disease.
