On June 7, 2026, Bob’s Buddies will be participating in our 20th Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Walk. We have raised over $202,000 to support Cystic Fibrosis Research in that time. Thank you for your continued support of Bob’s Buddies.
This past year has been busy. I enjoyed my final season playing baseball. I just wrapped up my second year of college at RIT. At RIT, I am on the board of the dodgeballl league. Give a baseball pitcher a playground ball and watch what happens. This summer I will be a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at a local company.
No single apartments were available on-campus, so I shared a 4 bedroom apartment with 3 of my friends, who all understand the importance of infection control and the impact CF has on me. Having my roommates and Josh nearby was a great help when I caught Flu B this winter. It has been a long time since I have been that sick. My roommates got me takeout and brought my work to my professors. Josh picked up Rxs for me and got me chicken soup. I did manage to avoid the hospital, but I had a rough couple of weeks. My professors were great, letting me take my mid-terms from my bed.
I am managing his CF related diabetes well and my A1-C is now back into the normal range with medication. Having my own kitchen has been great for my dietary restrictions. I cook some pretty impressive meals.
It took some fighting with the insurance, but I was able to move to Alyftrek, the new CF drug in September. So far, so good, I am doing well on it.
Thank you again for your generous support and I look forward to updating you on my continued success.
