Dear Family and Friends,
“Dancing through Life” is a song from the popular Wicked movie, but it could just as well apply to our gal, Zoey. Elphaba and Galinda have nothing on the interpretive dance moves of our granddaughter. Case in point: we took both Dylan and Zoey on an adventure to Iceland this past June. Zoey used each and every stop on the tour to interpret the moment in dance with a few dozen cartwheels thrown in for good measure. Thermal pools? She danced. Glacial caves? She danced. First Icelandic parliament? She danced. Viking museum? Guess. And here’s the thing – she actually did interpret each space through her movements. Let’s just say it was a fresh perspective on some Icelandic history!
We want Zoey to always be able to dance through her life. That means finding a cure for her Cystic Fibrosis. That’s why we’re again partnering with the CF Foundation to raise funds to find a cure. They are the leader in funding research and development of drugs and therapies to fight this disease. They remain on the cutting edge of new research such as genetic therapy, gene editing and messenger RNA therapy. Their research has transformed the lives of people living with CF, including our little dancer.
We’ll again be participating in the Great Strides Walkathon on Sunday, June 7, 2026 in New Bedford, MA. We’d be so grateful if you could make a donation in Zoey’s honor. Team Zoey Alexa has raised over $20,000 since we began this journey and we couldn’t have done it without you!
To make a secure online donation, please go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation website at https://fightcf.cff.org. Click on the Great Strides photo on the left. Click on “Donate". On the next page enter "Diane DiGennaro" as the walker's name. If you don’t want to navigate the website, feel free to send a check to Diane (16 Cross St, Harwich Port MA 02646) made out to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. If you make the donation through your investment account, please make sure it is routed to MA/RI CFF Chapter and is earmarked for “Team Zoey Alexa.” Your gift is tax deductible.
Please feel free to share this invitation with any of your extended family and friends. Our fundraising could expand exponentially as could the possibility of a cure!
We’d love to have you join us on June 7th for the walk and a lunch afterwards. We suspect there’ll also be dancing involved!
Warm Regards,
Diane and David
