On June 7, 2026, Bob’s Buddies will be participating in our 20th Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Walk. We have raised over $202,000 to support Cystic Fibrosis Research in that time. Thank you for your continued support of Bob’s Buddies.
This past year has been busy for Bob. We enjoyed watching his final season playing baseball. Bob just wrapped up his second year of college at RIT. At RIT, he is on the board of the dodgeballl league. Give a baseball pitcher a playground ball and watch what happens. This summer he will be a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at a local company.
No single apartments were available on-campus, so Bob shared a 4 bedroom apartment with 3 of his friends, who all understand the importance of infection control and the impact CF has on Bob. Having his roommates and Josh nearby was a great help when Bob caught Flu B this winter. It has been a long time since Bob has been that sick. His roommates got him takeout and brought his work to his professors. Josh picked up Rxs for him and got him chicken soup. Bob did manage to avoid the hospital, but he had a rough couple of weeks. His professors were great, letting him take his mid-terms from his bed.
Bob is managing his CF related diabetes well and his A1-C is now back into the normal range with medication. Having his own his own kitchen has been great for his dietary restrictions. We get some photos of what he cooks. It is pretty impressive.
It took some fighting with the insurance, but Bob was able to move to Alyftrek, the new CF drug in September. So far, so good, Bob is doing well on it.
Thank you again for your generous support and we look forward to updating you on Bob’s continued success.
