There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m cycling to help change that reality.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.

Open Mic Night Updated: Green Mountain Music and Liquid Art (just off the access road in Killington) will host an Open Mic Night on Monday, October 19th from 6-9 PM. Maren will perform at the beginning of the night. Donations at the event in support of the CF Foundation are appreciated!

Join our team in Rutland, VT on October 3rd. We will meet at Pine Hill Park at 10:00 AM. Maps will be provided for self-paced mountain biking or hiking. You may also join one of the groups heading out together. Knowing who will attend is extremely helpful. To let us know you're coming, please join our team using the "Team Grace and Joy" link to the right. Sign up as a virtual participant. Thank you!

I’m participating in Cycle for Life because cystic fibrosis is personal to my family. I’m a parent of two teenagers living with CF. In my children’s lifetimes, we’ve seen incredible progress. Today’s treatments have changed so many lives, and I’m incredibly grateful for them. But they are not a cure. Treatments like CFTR modulators don't work for everyone and some people cannot tolerate them. Access to the medications and specialized care people with CF need can also still be affected by cost, insurance barriers, and other changes in our healthcare landscape. As a parent, I don't want my teenagers’ futures to depend on whether today's treatment is always enough or always accessible. I want a cure. That’s why research matters. Every dollar raised helps support the next breakthrough - from better treatments to therapies that could address CF at its genetic root. This year I am fundraising as a virtual participant in the CFF NNE Chapter's Cycle for Life. Join my team or donate, as together, we keep going, keep asking, and keep hoping for a future where my children and others living with cystic fibrosis won't need CF treatments at all.
