The A-Team
The A-Team participates each year to honor Wendy Q’s sister, Avis Powell. In 1972 at the age of three, she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and her parents were told she would only live to seven. Avis defied the odds and in her 31 years she traveled the world, married, and had two healthy boys. She was able to do this because of advances made by doctors and scientists—and support of the CF Foundation working to add tomorrows and find a cure. Seeing the huge leaps that have been achieved gives us great hope that soon no one will have their life cut short by CF.
