My Great Strides Story

As our family has done in past years (fifteen now, I think!), our team (“McCane’s Miracles,” named for my grandchildren Calleigh and Ryder) is again raising funds to support a cure for cystic fibrosis, a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure. Calleigh and Ryder cope daily with the demands and complications of this disease.

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m working and walking to help change that reality. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

PLEASE help me meet my fundraising goal of $10,000.00 by sponsoring me. Your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively, as nearly 90 cents of every dollar of revenue raised is available for investment in vital CF programs to support research, care, and education.

Will you help me?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF. Making a donation is easy and secure! Thank you so much for anything you can do!
