Cystic Fibrosis is also known as a "silent illness." Most people today living with it show little to know signs or symptoms; if you were to run into them at a party you'd likely have no idea. It's the work behind the scenes: multiple daily treatments, and medications all to give themselves a better chance at tomorrow.
Beckham will always have exceptions to his day-to-day life that most other children will never have to consider. He will always have to figure out how to fit in 2 treatments per day - more if he's sick, be extra aware around other people who might be sick, and extra aware of his own body's limitations. This is all done to prevent bacteria and viruses inhabiting his body causing lasting internal damage.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
Our hope, through fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, is that one day Beckham will have the chance to wake up and go about his day like any other boy, not having to worry about anything besides the normal challenges of life. By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
