Hello! Thank you for looking at our team page! Baker was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis around 2 weeks old. It was a MAJOR shock and nothing we were prepared for. Pregnancy with him was so hard, but none of this was caught. After doing further testing and genetic counseling, we learned that both Michael and I are carriers for CF. So there is a chance that any children we have/had could have CF or be a carrier.
The first year was challenging. It took a lot of trial and error, and more adjusting than we thought going from 1 kiddo to 2. We are grateful in the aspect that Baker has not had a lot of complications due to his CF. Once we got his weight gain under control, we just started maintaining and trying to keep him from getting sick.
For 2025, I really want to get more involved in fundraising and raising awareness! I would love for you to
join us!
