Why am I hiking 26 miles??
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs, digestive system, and other vital organs. Those living with CF fight an uphill battle every single day, struggling for every breath. But you can help.
Each year dozens of hikers descend on Massanutten, Virginia to stride the Blue Ridge Mountains while raising funds to support those living with CF. Starting before sunrise, I hope to get off the trail in under 10 hours. Importantly, I’m joining the Xtreme hike to raise $3,500 to fund cures and improve the day-to-day for those living with CF.
I know that with your generosity, we can make a significant difference in the fight against CF. The research is advancing, new treatments are emerging, and lives are being saved—but there is still so much more to be done.

Your Support Matters:
- Research Saves Lives: Every donation helps fund crucial research into better treatments and ultimately a cure for CF. Research funding has led to groundbreaking therapies, but we are not done yet. The fight is ongoing, and your contribution makes it possible for scientists and doctors to push forward.
- Ease Everyday Battles: For families living with CF, the reality is a relentless cycle of treatments, hospital visits, and medical bills. Each day, people with CF face the possibility of complications that can reduce their quality of life—and shorten it. Your support helps provide the resources and tools needed to improve their lives.
