Cystic fibrosis is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis, and too many lives are lost to the disease each year. I’m running in this year's Virginia Cycle for Life to help change that reality.
The power of community has doubled the life expectancy of someone with CF from 32 years to 65+ years in the last two decades. If we're going to finish the race to a cure, we need to continue pushing forward together.
