The Great Strides Story

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
My granddaughter, Emily, was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects the lungs and pancreas. Our team, Emily's Entourage, has been raising money for the CFF for 5 years now. It is so rewarding to see that money go directly towards groundbreaking research, development, and support for those with CF.
And real progress has been made for those who have CF! A life-changing drug, Trikafta, was developed just months before Emily was born and gives us all so much hope for the future! Another amazing CFTR modulator drug, Alyftrek, was approved at the end of 2024. Each development of a new drug treats additional mutations of CF, meaning more and more lives are being changed for the better.
But there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. There's still so much work to do, but the CFF won't stop until its done. With your help, we can make CF stand for Cure Found. Thanks in advance for your donation - it means so much!!
