My Great Strides Story
Fundraising for Mid-Willamette Great Strides 2026

Connor’s Convoy was created for one simple reason: no one fights cystic fibrosis alone.
Connor was born with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. It causes thick mucus to build up in the body, making it hard to breathe and making everyday life much more complicated than it should be for a kid.
But Connor shows up every day with courage, humor, and a determination that inspires everyone around him.
Our team is called Connor’s Convoy because a convoy travels together—side by side, supporting each other along the journey. And that’s exactly what this community has done for Connor and for families living with CF.
Today, more than 40,000 children and adults in the U.S. live with cystic fibrosis, spending hours each day on treatments and medications just to breathe easier. While new therapies are changing lives, there is still no cure.
Every step we take and every dollar raised through Great Strides helps fund life-changing research, better treatments, and the hope of a cure.
Thank you for being part of Connor’s Convoy and helping move us closer to a future where every person with CF can simply breathe easier. 💙

Connor faces Cystic Fibrosis (CF) every single day, a challenge most of us can’t even imagine. His mornings start early with airway clearance routines to help keep his lungs strong. Throughout the day, he takes multiple medications, including enzymes to help his body absorb nutrients, vitamins, and inhaled therapies to fight infections and keep his lungs clear. On top of that, Connor undergoes daily treatments like nebulizers, chest physiotherapy, and sometimes antibiotics during flare-ups. Despite all this, he keeps his amazing smile and spirit, proving every day that CF doesn’t define him...it motivates him! Every stride we take in this fundraiser brings hope closer: for better treatments, for breakthroughs, and ultimately, for a cure. Your support helps Connor and thousands of others keep fighting, one breath at a time.
