This is Austin Gordon, with his Mom Laura. I am friends with Laura through our CFF work.
Katie is one of the 90% who has access to a life-changing modulator. But we cannot leave Austin behind. We are in this to win it for ALL CF patients, not just those who are family by blood. Austin is one of the many CF patients who are not eligible for a modulator or any new treatments. Since Trikafta was introduced in 2019, there has been a 70-80% decrease in hospitalizations of CF Patients. Isn't that amazing???
Unfortunately, during those years Austin has been hospitalized eight times. This year, my walk is dedicated to my friends whose family members are not eligible for the treatment that has changed Katie's life.
I honor Casey O'Leary, Austin, Gordon, Skylar Davis and the many people with CF who are still fighting the disease every day.
