Fundraising for Xtreme Hike Massachusetts

Hello
Thanks for visiting my donation page - this is my 14th time helping coordinate and fundraise for this event and while my knees say no - my heart says yes every year.
This years hike is in late May and it's up, over and all around Mount Greylock in western Massachusetts. The trail is estimated to be 25 miles and 6,200 vertical feet, although every year it's somehow 2 to 3 miles longer on my GPS device. And while the hike is long I look forward to reunited with the other previous hikers and breaking in a few new ones. Cookie - my dad - is ready to fill our bellies at the halfway point and I have my fingers crossed for a bluebird day.
As many of you know, CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure. The families and individuals that hike for their loved ones are inspirational and have become family to me.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
Thank you for considering it.
Hike on!
