Jay and I are hiking again this year on May 30th for Lucas, our amazing son who is living with Cystic Fibrosis. He was born on April 2, 2013, with a Double Delta F508 strand of CF. This is the most common but severe strand a person can have. Lucas is pancreatic insufficient and can take anywhere from 25-35 pills a day when he eats on top of other medication and treatments. Lucas is now three years into taking Trikafta, a life changing CF medication and he is thriving and doing amazing!! He is truly the strongest person we know.

If you know Lucas, he is one incredible little kid. He has overcome so many challenges and is thriving. He loves soccer with all his heart and hopes to play professional soccer when he gets older!! Lucas is loving, kind, funny, determined, passionate, and loves a good challenge!! Jason and I are so lucky to watch him, and Grace grow up!! We vowed the day he was born that we would never stop fighting for him and we haven't.

Jay and I are hiking 26 miles together to show Lucas that he doesn't have to fight alone. We are pushing ourselves to accomplish this challenge and raise money as this is one day of our lives compared to every day of his!! We may not know what it's like to take medicine or be faced with certain challenges, but we know what it takes to make it up and down this mountain. We are doing this to show Lucas all the love and support he receives and the future he will have!

Please consider making a donation to our team to help us meet our goal of $6000.

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I hike for them.

Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We've come so far, but there's still so much work to do. I will not stop hiking until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.

Please support us - as are at a pivotal moment in the history of cystic fibrosis and your support matters. With your help, we can invest our resources in research today, while raising funds for tomorrow, to ensure we have what it takes to reach the finish line. Together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found.
