I've been fortunate to explore breathtaking landscapes across the world through hiking — from Glacier National Park in Montana to the rugged trails of El Chaltén in Patagonia and the quaint mountain villages near Shirakawa, Japan. Hiking has given me a deep appreciation for something easy to overlook: the simple ability to breathe freely. That's what brings me here, and why I'm proud to hike in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic, life-shortening disease that attacks the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs, making it extremely difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections. Over time, it causes serious lung damage and, too often, respiratory failure. There is still no cure, and too many people with CF are denied the long, healthy lives they deserve.

This cause is personal to me. My soon-to-be mother-in-law has dedicated over 40 years of her career to the CFF — a testament to how important and urgent this mission truly is. Supporting her life's work as I marry into this family means a great deal to me. (I've also been told it's my final test before the wedding!)

Every person living with CF experiences this disease differently, and while meaningful progress has been made, there is still a trek ahead. With your support, we can help improve the lives of those with the disease and fund the research needed to one day find a cure — so that everyone with CF has a better chance at a long, full life.
