Dylan was diagnosed at 10 days old from the new born screening test. He has had many challenges and has gone through multiple hospitalization throughout his life. Thankfully for the money raised and the research over the years for CF Dylan has had many new medications and advanced therapies to prolong his life.
Dylan now takes a once a day pill Alyftrek to help internal changes to help underlying protein defects that improve lung function and reduce sweat chlorides.
This last December 2025 we lost a family member Tony, who had CF but never let it define him! He went through a hard medical life, receiving the gift of new lungs in 2015 which saved his life and gave him an extra 10 years with family and friends. Sadly 2025 he was diagnosed with cancer that took over his body and he lost his battle. Rest easy, Tony! You'll be missed.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I'm hiking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward - a cure for everyone with CF.
All donations 100% tax deductible!
