As many of my long-time supporters know, I do this every year not only for my son, Connor, but for all of those with Cystic Fibrosis.

While Connor is doing relatively well, and at 32 is living a fairly “normal” life with an amazing wife and three wonderful kids, that is only because of the efforts and investments made by the CF Foundation over the years.  But we don’t have a cure yet, and we can’t stop until we do.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long and healthy life.

Sadly, I will be out of the country for this year’s Xtreme Hike on October 3rd. So while I will not be able to share the love and camaraderie of my fellow hikers on the trail….I have decided to create my own Xtreme hike earlier in September.  I’m going to do a one day Rim-To-Rim hike in Grand Canyon.  Am I crazy?  Maybe.  But don’t let that stop you from supporting the cause!

I am incredibly grateful for, and routinely humbled by, the astounding support I get every year from a tremendous group of friends and family.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Greg
