Dearest family and friends,

I hope you and your families are well and easing into the holiday season. On January 31, 2026, I’ll be running a 10K with the “Breathe Team” to raise awareness and funding for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I’m seeking your support.

Thanks to your steady generosity since our Cowabunga Champ was born, we’ve felt carried by your love. Joey is thriving—playing soccer and baseball, making new friends, and even earning a spot on the All-Star soccer team. We’re deeply grateful to watch him run the field without coughing or issues. Flu season hit him hard last year, so we’ll be extra cautious—part of the daily reality for families living with CF.

I recently attended the CF Research Conference in Seattle and came home hopeful. Modulator therapies have driven real progress for lung health, yet serious complications remain for the pancreas and liver. Persistent lung infections are still a major challenge as microbes grow more resistant to standard treatments. And a small group of people with CF still aren’t eligible for current therapies, waiting on the promise of genetic approaches.

Your gifts fund the research that gives our community real hope. My goal is to raise $3,000, and our family will match the first $1,000 donated.

Thank you for your love, prayers, and ongoing support for Joey and our family—and for considering a gift to this campaign. May God bless you abundantly this holiday season and always.

With gratitude,
Ryan Kelly
