My Breathe Team Story
Fundraising for 2026 Disneyland® Half Marathon
Belle Christ
Hi everyone! First, thank you all so much for being here and for supporting this fundraiser. It truly means the world to me. As most of you know, I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when I was two years old. Growing up with CF hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve been lucky to have incredible family and friends who have supported me every step of the way.
When I was born, the average life expectancy for someone with CF was around 30 years old. Just a generation earlier, kids with CF weren’t expected to make it to elementary school. Because of the work the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has done and the generosity of people like you, those numbers keep rising. Treatments have improved, research is moving faster than ever, and the future looks brighter for people like me.
Running the Disneyland Half Marathon is my way of celebrating how far we’ve come and reminding myself that CF doesn’t define what I can or can’t do. Every mile I run and every dollar raised brings us closer to a cure.
Thank you again for your love, your encouragement, and your donations. You are helping give people with CF, including me, the chance to dream big, breathe easier, and keep going strong.
