I'm Running for Violet - and for a Cure

In January, I'm lacing up for my very first race - the Run Disney 10K - and I'm not doing it just for me. I'm running for The Breathe Team and for my brave, super smart 4-year-old niece, Violet, who lives every day with cystic fibrosis (CF).

When I started running, I never imagined I'd fall in love with it - but more than that, I never imagined how powerful it would feel to run with purpose.

Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. But thanks to incredible advancements funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the outlook for people with CF has drastically improved.

In the past 20-25 years the life expectancy for someone with CF was far shorter. Today, thanks to cutting-edge treatments made possible by donors like you, many individuals with CF are not only living longer, but living fuller, more independent lives.

This progress is nothing short of amazing - but we're not done yet. There is still no cure, and the CF community continues to need our support.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward research, care, and advocacy that brings hope to families like mine. To Violet. To thousands of others fighting this disease every day.
