Meet Ryan: Our Little Fighter

Ryan will turn 2 years old on June 3, 2025. He’s curious, funny, strong-willed, and absolutely unstoppable. But what many people don’t see is the weight he carries every day—the weight of Cystic Fibrosis.

CF is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. But thanks to breakthroughs in science, especially life-changing medications like Trikafta, Ryan is experiencing a quality of life past children could not.

While Ryan plays, grows, and thrives—he’s also fighting. He’s too young to understand the full scope of what he’s up against, but we’re not. That’s why we carry the weight—literally.

This year, in honor of Ryan and all the CF warriors who don’t have the option to set the weight down, we’re participating in a walk where we carry heavy kettlebells. Because the weight our loved ones with CF carry is more than most will ever experience.
