Lilly's Sunshine Ohio MSA Fundraiser
Fundraising for Columbus Great Strides 2026
MSA Class of 2026
There is still no cure for cystic fibrosis, and far too many people with CF are taken from us too young. That is why we are fundraising — to help change that reality.
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. It makes it difficult to breathe and to fight life-threatening infections, often leading to severe lung damage and respiratory failure. Every person born with CF faces a unique journey, experiencing the disease in different and deeply personal ways. While important progress has been made, there is still a long road ahead. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has the opportunity to live a long, healthy life.
This cause is especially close to our heart because we are walking in honor of Lilly, a senior at Athens High School. For more than ten years, we have been fundraising and advocating to help find a cure. Behind the scenes, Lilly endures countless painful treatments and daily challenges to combat this invisible disease — challenges most people never see. Yet through it all, she continues to inspire us with her resilience and determination. Next year, she will attend Ohio University to study engineering, pursuing her dreams while continuing her fight against CF.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to this fundraising effort, you are helping advance the research and science needed to turn hope into reality — a cure for Lilly, and for every person living with CF. Together, we can help create a future where no one has to battle this disease.
